El rapero y productor musical estadounidense Jay Z atacó a los servicios de musica YouTube, Spotify, y iTunes durante su concierto realizado en el Terminal 5 de Nueva York.

De acuerdo a The Wrap, durante su concierto «Special B-Sides»  realizado para los subscriptores de su servicio de música Tidal, el productor musical interpretó un Freestyle dedicado a estos gigantes de la industria.

Jay Z adquirió a Tidal en enero de 2015 por $56 millones de dolares y volvió a lanzar la aplicación el 30 de marzo. Ofrece dos servicios:  Música con calidad standard por $9.99 mensuales y música con alta definición $19.99.   Sin embargo, a pesar de estas opciones y algunos lanzamientos exclusivos como uno de los temas de Beyoncé, Tidal no ha logrado la misma popularidad que Spotify, iTunes y  Pandora.
