Early this month,   American Pop singer Lady GaGa surpassed  Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber as the one with more followers in the social network Twitter.  However, Justin Bieber fans hated the idea that GaGa surpassed their idol and decided to start an massive unfollow campaign against her,  E! Online Latin America reports quoting an article from the NY POST.

#OperationUnfollowGaga.   is the hashtag that is being used  by Justin Bieber fans to get her follower counts to drop.

«To all beliebers  this is operation UNFOLLOW. »  – said a rabid Justin Bieber fan through twitter. -«The plan is simple:  Find her and unfollow.»

The campaign so far hasn’t worked.
